Bench takes public interest petition on misuse of water sources
Hyderabad, November 27, 2006
A division bench of AP High Court on Monday sought details on supply of water to the soft drink units in the State.
The bench comprising Chief Justice GS Singhvi and Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy began hearing to a public interest writ petition complaining about the misuse of water sources. The bench called for a detailed affidavit on how much water was being supplied to beverage companies, soft drink manufacturers and water bottling units and the effect the same would have on agriculture.
