YSR conducts review to secure gas for the state first
Hyderabad, November 23, 2006
The gas struck on Andhra lands should come first to the State, said the Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy at a high level meeting on Thursday while reviewing the issues relating to securing Reliance Gas for the State.
The Chief Secretary J. Harinaryana will hold a meeting with the representatives of Reliance Industry to work out the modalities for supply of gas struck by the company in K-G basin to the State within a timeframe. It is understood that the Chief Minister emphasized on framing a policy which would not allow the price of the cooking gas hike. Sources said that the Chief Minister hoped that the gas would be made available by January 2008.
