Formulations under special economic zone

Hyderabad, November 18, 2006

The Government has allotted 75 acres of land on lease at Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district for being developed as 'Formulations Special Economic Zone'. The firms Hetero Drugs Limited and Aurobindo Pharma will develop the SEZ over an area of 250 acres by spending Rs.200 crores together and providing employment nearly to 2000 persons.

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Saturday handed over the allotment papers to S. Parthasaradhy, Chairman and Managing Director, Hetero Drugs and K. Nityananada reddy, Managing Director of Aurobindo Pharma. The SEZ is expected to tap the vast export potential attracting leading formulation companies from nook and corner. The work is expected to be started from January next.
