BHEL and HPCL are in the race to take over the BHPV
Hyderabad, November 17, 2006
The State Government has decided to appeal to the Central Government to permit Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels (BHPV) to take over the Visakhapatnam based BHPV unit. BHEL and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited are in the race to take over the BHPV. Employees of the BHPV, feel that their future will be secure if BHEL take over their company and made a representation a few days ago.
After reviewing the matter with the senior officials, the Chief Minister has decided to approach the Union Major Industries Minister Santosh Mohan Deo during his visit to New Delhi.
