He said the progress is not upto the expectations
Hyderabad, November 15, 2006The Chief Minister who review the on going projects expressed his unhappiness over the tardy progress. He insisted on the Department sticking to deadlines and made clear that dereliction of duty will not be tolerated. On the land acquisition for Somasila and Telugu Ganga projects is very slow, he has ordered the transfer of Special Collector (Land Acquisition) with immediate effect. He review the progress of ongoing irrigation projects in Rayalaseema, Prakasam and Nellore districts and directed the officials to obtain forest clearance for Somasila and Veligonda projects within six months and completion of Gupta, Alisagar, Tadipudi and Pushkaram projects to be completed by December next.
The Chief Minster said that the Government has received Rs.212 crores under AIBP so far during the current financial year and asked the officers to secure atleast Rs.2000 crore AIBP funds by the end of the financial year. According to a press release issued, the Chief Minister directed the officials to closely monitor all projects and address the problems. An additional of 6.5 lakh acres were irrigated during the current Kharif season.
