Decision taken following a conviction by special court

The State Government has withheld the pension and gratuity in full of V. Lakshmaiah, former deputy Superintendent of Police (Intelligence) of Karimnagar following the conviction by the Special court in a trap case.
He was convicted by the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad and sentenced to undergo one and half years RI and a fine of Rs.4000 as he was trapped by the officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) when he accepted a bribe of Rs.20,000 from the manager of a toddy depot in Karimnagar district for doing an official favour.
