AP High Court acquits Rama Subba Reddy and others

TDP President says Subba Reddy is falsely implicated

Hyderabad, November 14, 2006

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday acquitted the former Minister P. Rama Subba Reddy and seven others in a sensational double murder case at Shadnagar bus station about 16 years ago. After being released from the Charlapalli Central Prison, he along with seven others received rousing reception. He along with his supports arrived at NTR Trust Bhavan, Telugu Desam Party headquarters in a procession. The party leaders received them with a warm welcome.

Speaking at a gathering, the TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu said that Rama Subba Reddy and others were falsely implicated in the case with political motive. He commented that justice was done to him and others. He commented that the judgment should be an eye opener to Congress Government which has been fabricating false cases against TDP supporters.
