Case related to double murder at a bus station

Hyderabad, November 13, 2006

The AP High Court on Monday acquitted the Telugu Desam leader and former Minister P. Rama Subba Reddy and seven others in a sensational double murder case at Shadnagar bus station that took place about 16 years ago.

Justice Bilal Nazki, while pronouncing his judgment, pointed out that there were many discrepancies and contradictions in the prosecution's case which did not inspire sufficient confidence to sentence the accused and relieved of them on the grounds of benefit of doubt. TDP leaders and family members were happy over the judgment and the they commented that justice has won.
