Financial assistance to Dalit Girl

Cases would be booked under SC,ST Atrocities Act

The Medak District Collector, B. Venkatesam announced a financial assistance of Rs.25,000 for a Dalit girl who was allegedly raped by her landlord's son in Hyderabad. The girl along with her parents and the baby visited the Collector on Sunday. He assured them that cases against the culprits would be booked under SC,ST Atrocities Act. They also met the SP RB Naik and complained that the local police refused the register the case against the perpetrators. The SP assured them to see that justice would be done to the victim.
