Five persons injured
Hyderabad, May 7, 2006Five persons were injured on Saturday night when two groups of Congress and Telugu Desam activists clashed at Sardana village in Medak. The trouble broke out at a gram sabha organized as a part of Prajapatham organized by Medak MLA Shashidar Reddy on May 6.
The TDP leaders obstructed the meeting alleging bias in the distribution of pension to senior citizens. Police intervened and prevented the Telugu Desam from obstructing the meeting.
The two groups clashed after former sarpanch Ram Reddy and other prevented the police from arresting their leader Venkat Reddy.
