Reddy Labs okays for IIT

To invest Rs. 1000 crores

Hyderabad, May 5, 2006

As the Central Government expressed its inability to set up further IITs in the Country, Dr.Reddy Labs came forward to establish the prestigious IIT at Basara with an investment of more than Rs.1000 crores with international standards in an extent of 1000-acre land.

Anji Reddy, the Chief of Reddy Labs, accepted the noted educationalist Ch.Ramayya's proposal. He went to the Chief Minister and explained the proposal, which was in principal accepted by the CM, said Ramayya.
