Asks Government to extend financial support

Hyderabad, May 4, 2006

The Twin Cities Local Lorry Operators Association and Steel Transporters Association and members of the Twin Cities Lorry Owners Association will be meeting on Saturday to finalize the indefinite transport bandh on Saturday. Joint meetings of these three associations have met and a decision has been taken to this effect. They have resolved to organize indefinite Transport Bandh to protest against the Government orders directing the Lorries, goods vehicle owners to obtain NOC or else move out of the Twin cities within 15 days.

The associations demanded the Government to provide new Lorries at its own cost by taking the old vehicles or extend financial support into CNG operated or allow five-year time for the owners for replacement according to a press release issued by the general secretary of Twin Cities Local Lorry Operators Association K.Rajeshwar Rao.
