Bank manager gives Rs. 12.5 lakhs cash to imposter

Police Complaint lodged

An Assistant Manager of UCO Bank had given cash of Rs.12.5 lakhs to a stranger, after he received a call from an imposter, claiming himself as Bank's Managing Director. He received a call at about 11am and delivered the cash. After given the cash, he got a doubt whether he delivered to the right person or not and he crosschecked with the officials and turned to be a fraud.

The Assistant Manager, Jayaram lodged a police complaint to this effect.
