Two persons arrested, More fake notes in circulation in West Bengal
The Hyderabad police today arrested two persons and seized fake currency worth over Rs.36 lakhs. The arrested persons are Mohammed Shoukat Ali of Maida district in West Bengal and KV Satyanaryana Reddy of East Godavari district in the Andhra Pradesh.

Problems with Inspectors on leave to be solved

Hyderabad, May 30, 2006

The State Government had decided to create 72 posts of Vacancy Reserve (VR) Inspectors in all the six zones in the state. By virtue of creation of the posts, problems like inspectors of the police stations concerned going on leave, repatriation, suspension, deputation for training will be solved. A communication to this effect is awaited to fill up the posts.

The Home Minister, K.Jana Reddy reviewed the violent incidents in the State especially in faction hit areas with Senior Police Officers including DIG Swaranjit Sen.

It was decided to create six VRI posts in Visakhapatnam Zone, eight in Eluru, six in Guntur, twelve in Kurnool, 30 in Hyderabad and ten in Warangal. As on date there are 720 inspectors in the six zones.
