Picketing in the area to avoid untoward incidents
Warangal, May 30, 2006Telugu Desam leader N.Sayanna of Banjera village in Dornakal Assembly segment succumbed to injuries he sustained during an attack by Congress workers. The Congress activists attacked him on May 21 and following serious injuries, he was admitted in Khammam Hospital where he died Tuesday night. Tension prevailed in the village.
The Mahabubabad DSP Satyanarayana Rao put up picketing to prevent any untoward incidents. TDP politburo member E.Dayakar Rao, MLA V.Narender Reddy and other leaders staged a dharna in Dornakal protesting against Social Welfare Minister, Redya Naik protesting against the murder.
The Police prevented the leaders to take a procession of the body in the village led to an argument between the police and the leaders. However, Sayanna's funeral rites were held amidst tight security.
