Hyderabad, May 3, 2006

The Osmania University police have registered a case against the Ph.D students of the University for threatening OU Vice Chancellor Suleman Siddiqui on Wednesday.

According to police sources, a group of 12 students and residents of NRS Hostel entered the VC's chamber at about 11.30am on Wednesday and abused him and threatened him with dire consequences if he did not extend their fee due date and exempt their yearly fees.

The police also registered a case of trespassing against the students are investigating. The police have not yet identified the students.
