AP Transco already overdrawing power

Hyderabad, May 3, 2006

The State Government has decided to purchase power from other States to tide over the shortage problem. A high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy cleared the proposal on Wednesday.

The AP Transco is already overdrawing power from central generating stations to the extent of 600MV everyday at a cost of Rs.2 crore.
