To accept telephone bills after pay by date - APSRTC Reservation tickets soon

Vijayawada, May 29, 2006

As of now, e-Seva centers are accepting telephone bills of pay by date only. The e-Seva entered into an agreement with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to accept the after pay by date bills also. From now onwards, e-Seva centers are accepting after pay by date telephone bills as mentioned in the bill to facilitate the customers. Till now, e-Seva centres are doing daily average transactions of 18,000 as against 80,000 telephone customers in Vijayawada city.

There are nearly 2.1 lakh telephone customers in the district. With this agreement, it is expected that the transactions will go up. However, mobile users cannot pay their bills in the centers and an agreement to this effect will be reached soon. Another service that will be provided to the customers is to issue Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) reservation tickets will be issued soon in all 19 e-Seva centers.

It is learnt that an understanding has been reached with the APSRTC in this aspect. E-Seva Administrative Officer M.Suresh Kumar said that RTC reservation tickets will be issued soon. The Joint Collector, S.Suresh Kumar reviewed the progress of launching the service with the APSRTC officials.
