Guidelines ready - Notification to be released in a week
Hyderabad, May 29, 2006
The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday directed the officials to finalize guidelines for the recruitment of 7114 junior linemen for the four power utilities in the State on contract basis and to issue notification within one week. He reviewed the performance of Discoms and APTransco and said with the appointment of the new linemen, the breakdowns could be attended immediately.
The officials said that capacitors for 18 lakh agricultural pump sets have been installed covering 75 per cent target so far. A total of 85,251 urban households in 1361 wards in 11 municipal corporations and 119 municipalities in the State were electrified so far. The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of AP Genco projects.
