DSC 2006 notification issued

20193 teacher posts to be filled

Hyderabad, May 29, 2006

The State Government has issued DSC-2006 notification which was long awaited on Monday for recruitment of 20,193 teacher posts.

The School Education Minister, N.Rajyalakshmi speaking to press said that recruitment will be made for 20,193 posts. While 17,647 posts would be in the plain areas while the remaining 2,499 will be in tribal areas and the posts include 786 Urdu teachers. She said that 3026 School assistants, 12410 Secondary Grade Teachers, 1718 language pundits and 413 Physical Education teachers.

In this recruitment, the age limit will be 36 years. The Minister said that applications will be sold from June 15 to July 13 and the last date for submitting applications will be July 14 and hall tickets will be dispatched between August 18 to 22. The written test will be conduct between August 29 to 31 and results will be announced on September 30. The application forms will be available at all the Head Post offices/sub post offices/e-Seva centres. The filled in applications have to be submitted to the District Educational Officer.
