Eluru - East Godavari, May 28, 2006

Six district level activists of Lok Satta and a member of Centre for Media Studies (CMS) were arrested on Sunday on the charge of instigating the public against the Supreme Court Orders on Kolleru Lake.

A team of police led by Circle Inspector, K Raghuveera Reddy came when the meeting was in progress at the Lok Satta Office on the preparations for a referendum to be conducted jointly by Lok Satta and CMS on June 1 on the belts of Kolleru. The CMS deputed the Hyderabad based Project Director, N.Vijaya Babu to hold the referendum.
