Biotech firm found manufacturing banned drug

The officials of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested S.Nagaraju, managing Director of Raj Biotech suspected to be a key operative in a racket exporting a banned drug. The officials had busted the drug racket a few days back while investigating an export fraud.

Three persons including Srisaila Babu, MD of Venkat Pharma of Vijayawada based firm had been arrested in this connection. The officials said that Nagaraju, a resident of Vanasthalipuram after discovering that he was manufacturing the banned drug Ephedrine.
