Girl approaches Commissioner

G.Maheswarara Rao, a police constable attached to the Falaknama traffic police station was arrested by the Hussaini Alam police for changing his name and marrying a girl which amounted to cheating. This is his third marriage.

According to police sources, he changed his name to Kareem and married the girl. On knowing that the girl was a pregnant, he vanished. The girl approached the Police Commissioner, AK Mohanty who issued orders for the arrest of the constable. He was arrested and sent to judicial custody.

South Zone DCP Sandeep Shandilya said a report would be submitted to the higher up recommending his suspension.
