Hyderabad, May 24, 2006

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday stayed the release of advertisements in media by the Corporate Colleges which are detrimental to the interests of the students.

The Court directed the authorities to ensure that the recognition of the corporate colleges which admit more than the sanctioned strength be cancelled. The Court directed the Commercial and Income tax departments to probe into the funds being spent by these colleges for issuing advertisements.
