Nizamabad, May 20, 2006

An Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus that was coming from Nirmal fell into a roadside ditch near Manik Bandar injuring 40 passengers. According to officials, this mishap occurred when the bus driver lost control after he applied sudden brakes to avert colliding with two auto rickshaws coming in opposite direction.

The Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) rushed to the spot and arranged transportation of injured persons. They were admitted into District Government Hospital. Sources reveal that there are nearly 70 passengers traveling in the bus at the time of accident.
