First wife in critical condition
Hyderabad, May 2, 2006
The slain engineer K.Suryanaryana was cremated with full honors. The first wife K.Manjula could not have the last glimpse of her husband as she consumed a toilet cleaner and is in a critical condition at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG). She was not even informed of the cremation taking into consideration of her critical condition.
According to Dr.D.Nageswara Reddy of AIG, Manjula who consumed a bathroom cleaning liquid containing Hydrochloric acid and other chemicals vomited blood and her stomach and oesophagus were damaged. The doctors said that she is still critical and should be monitored for atleast another 48 hours.
The second wife of K.Surayanarayana, Ms.Swapna attended the last rites along with her nine-month-old daughter Nitisha. Dr. Reddy said that they have decided to give her medication and treatment free of cost, as it is a special case.
