Over 2,34,438 candidates to appear for entrance exams
Hyderabad, May 2, 2006
EAMCET 2006 entrance examination for admission into various Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be held on May 4. 457 centres have been identified in 18 towns across the State for the examination. Nearly 2,34,438 candidates are likely to appear for the entrance test.
In Engineering Stream the examinations will be held from 10am to 1pm and for Medical and dental stream, the examinations will be conducted from 2.30pm to 5pm. The Minister for Higher Education P. Venkateswararao will pick up the examination set through a draw at JNTU campus.
EAMCET Convenor LVAR Sarma said that the candidates will be allowed in the examination hall just before half an hour before commencement of the examination and no candidate will be allowed even a minute later. He said that the results would be announced in the last week of May.
