Hyderabad, May 2, 2006

The Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajeev Trivedi held meeting with the Bankers on Tuesday and pointed out the security lapses at Banks and carelessness of the customers while dealing with cash are the few points that the thieves are encashing to rob the banks. He said that there are many lapses at the banks from the point of view of security. He has some safety tips to bankers to follow.

The location of the branch, construction of the building and arrangement of work place has to be taken care and installing of alarms, cameras and self-locking doors and chest at the bank and avoid exposure of cash while handling and many more.

It may be recalled that robbers are using innovative technqiues including diverstion of the bank staff to rob.
