Hailstorm claims ten lives

More than dozen injured

The unexpected hailstorm claimed ten lives, five each in Nalgonda and Khammam and injured more than dozen persons. Several areas in the state are in darkness as the high tension electrical wires were damaged. The authorities could restore power late in the night.

The vehicular traffic from Hyderabad to Vijayawada was halted for about one hour.
