Global Cyber Security set as theme of the year

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd., (BSNL) is celebrating the World Telecommunications day on Wednesday. May 17 is being observed as World Telecommunications day since 1865 to commerate the formation of International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
During the last 150 years Indian Telecommunications has faced many challenges. DOT was formed on January 1 in 1985 and it was converted in BSNL on October 1, 2000. The Theme of the World Telecom Day for this year is 'Promoting Global Cyber Security'
