Two major projects for Andhra Pradesh

CM asks officials to complete projects ahead of schedule

Hyderabad, March 8, 2006

The Andhra Pradesh Genco and Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) limited signed an agreement for setting up two mega power projects with a total installed capacity of 3700 MW.

One of them, a gas based combined cycle 2100MW project will be located between Hyderabad and Karimnagar and the second at Krishnapatnam in Nellore district will be based on super critical technology with an initial capacity of 1600MW which will be increased ultimately to 4000 MW. The Chief Minister who was present at the time of agreement signed told the officials to complete the projects ahead of the schedule.
