Screening camps to be organized
Hyderabad, March 7, 2006Kidney day will be celebrated on March 9 in response to a call by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN). The Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Nephrology Forum (APNF) told media on Tuesday that a screening camp would be organized at Press Club, Basheerbagh to mark the day. He said the only way to tackle the problem was to spreading awareness and early diagnosis. Forum Secretary S.Krishnan said ISN was founded on March 9, over 50 years ago and thus the day was named World Kidney Day.
More than 8000 professionals from over 100 nations, collaborates with over 65 national and regional nephrology societies representing about 20000 professions. It provides an efficient platform for timely scientific exchanges between health care professionals and is dedicated to redressing the disparity between the developing and developed worlds in the research and prevention of Kidney disease.
