CM asks for effective implementation of programs
Hyderabad, March 31, 2006The State Government on Friday extended the time for fixing capacitors to agricultural pump sets up to April 30, 2006. The capacitors will protect motors from power fluctuations and also save energy. The decision to extend the time for fixation comes following repeated pleas to the State Government from AP president and Rajya Sabha member MP elect K.Keshava Rao and several leaders belonging to various parties. Speaking to media, the Information and Public Relations Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir said that the Government is confident that all the farmers will install capacitors before the deadline.
The Chief Minister who chaired the meeting briefed the Cabinet on the launch of the Integrated Development In Rural and Model Municipal Areas (INDIRAMMA) programme on Saturday and asked the Ministers and MLAs to ensure successful implementation of the programme. He sought the cooperation in full participation in Rythu Chaitanya Yatras at the village level on the latest technology in agriculture and allied subjects beginning from April 2 to 20. The Cabinet cleared the file pertaining to the allotment of 1.30 acre for house sites to journalists in Rajahmundry district at the rate of Rs.1100 per sq.yard and 3.30 acres near Guntur for Guntur scribes at the rate of Rs.150 per square yard. He released the agriculture action plan for the year 2006-07.
