Police arrests four in connection with the case
Hyderabad, March 29, 2006The Hyderabad Police arrested four persons who allegedly duped the banks in the city using counterfeit credit cards supplied by a gang operating from abroad on Wednesday. Task Force DCP G.Sudheer Babu told a media conference that 24 fabricated credit ads were seized from the arrested and they confessed to the police that they purchased such counterfeit credit cards from some agents in Chennai at the rate of Rs.15,000 for one.
Investigations revealed that the origin of the racket was in countries like England, France and some South East Asian nations where some gangs were manufacturing such fake credit cards. He explained that some international gangs were collecting electronic code data of credit cards through fraudulent means.
