Parking system planned at NTR Garden on the Buddha Purnima Road
Hyderabad, March 29, 2006The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is planning a multi level car-parking complex in private partnership, close to the NTR Garden on the Buddha Purnima Road. An extent of 2.5 acres of area has been earmarked for the complex that would accommodate about 1000 cars besides 500 two wheelers.
The HUDA has invited Expression of Interest to shortlist prospective bidders for installing the facility, HUDA Chief Engineer Vivek Deshmukh said. NTR Gardens and Necklace Road had become major tourist attractions and weekend recreation spots after HUDA and Tourism departments several recreation and entertainment activities around the lake. He said that though parking facilities has been provided opposite People's Plaza, the influx of vehicles to various leisure spots in the area necessitated more parking facilities.
