Develops drugs that keeps AIDS from reproducing
Hyderabad, March 29, 2006
Aurobindo Pharma has received the final approval for 100mg Zidovudine capsules from USFDA. Idovudine is in the class of drugs nucleoside reverse transcriptise inhibitors that helps keep AIDS virus away from reproducing.
The approval paves way for the company to market its product in the US and qualify the firm under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief according to a press release.
