Hyderabad, March 28, 2006

The Task Force officials busted an illegal telephone exchange racket during raids n 13 spots in the city and arrested two persons. Officials estimated that the telecom operators and Government might have suffered Rs.7.35 crore losses due to the international call diversions.

The Task Force teams seized Rs.20 lakh worth of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) instrument for diverting international calls of BSNL from the accused. Task Force DCP G.Sudheer Babu said that the accused were illegally diverting the international calls and these calls cannot be monitored.
