Two wheeler companies evading tax payment
Hyderabad, March 28, 2006
The Enforcement Wing of the Commercial Taxes Department has detected tax evasion to the tune of Rs.24.22 crores by two wheeler-dealers in the State between 2001 to 2005.
Replying to a question during the question hour in the Assembly on Tuesday, the Minister for Commercial Taxes K.Ramakrishna said that the information furnished by two wheeler companies such as Hero Honda Motors, Bajaj Auto Limited and TVS Motors regarding sale of the vehicles and verification of books of accounts of the dealers in the State showed suppression of taxes.
