Seeks PCC cooperation for Telangana Statehood

Hyderabad, March 28, 2006

In a very short gap, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao met the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President and Rajya Sabha member K Kesavarao on Tuesday night to seek his cooperation in securing Telangana statehood.

The two leaders met an undisclosed place till late in the night to work out a common strategy to prevail upon the UPA leadership to expedite the process on Telangana. It may be recalled that the TRS president has vowed that not to return to Hyderabad until the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government makes a positive response and he was leaving New Delhi on March 31.
