Case related to abuse of forest official

The Jannaram Police arrested former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Khanapur Mr. Rathod Ramesh of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday. The police said that he allegedly questioned and abused forest officials who objected to tribals trying to encroach upon forestland. He was later released on bail. The police registered a case against the Indanpalli Forest Range Officer Kondal Rao under the SC,ST, Atrocities Prevention Act on a complaint by the MLA.
