3.7% dearness allowance to be released
Hyderabad, March 26, 2006
The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday announced the release of 3.7 per cent of dearness allowance due to them from July 1, 2005. Sources at the Chief Minister Office (CMO) says that this would burden the State exchequer to an extent of Rs.400 crores.
The announcement came upon the decision of the CM to whom a representation was made by the Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers and Workers who met him on Sunday. This release of the allowance will benefit nearly 10 lakh employees working in the State Government establishments.
