Guntur, March 26, 2006A lecturer was arrested on impersonation charges while evaluation the answer sheets of Intermediate students at Government Womens College on Sunday. S.Koteswarara Rao, a Lecturer in Economics was evaluating the answer sheets of Civics papers on behalf of his colleague U.Chandrajit Yadav, a civics lecture of Srivani Junior College, Vinukonda. He was not attending classes for the last few months.
To help his friend, Rao sent an application to the Board of Intermediate Examination seeking permission for spot valuation. He changed the photo of Yadav in the identify card issued by BIE and attend the spot valuation as scrutinizer. When he failed to sign the register, officers at the spot grew suspicious and lodged a police complaint.
