Hyderabad, March 25, 2006

Indian Finance Minister, P Chidambaram reviewed the arrangements for the prestigious 39th Annual General Body Meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB). The meet will be held in Hyderabad from May 3, 2006 for three days and is expected to be participated by nearly 3000 delegates from 40 countries. Chidambaram enquired about the security, traffic, food and hospitality arrangements.

The Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy agreed to the suggestion of having a special rural dish at the dinner to be hosted by him on May 3 at Shilparamam. A cultural and handicrafts exhibition is also on charts at the Shilparamam venue. The Finance Minister will be hosting a dinner for the ADB delegates at Golconda Fort on May 5. A special India Day would be conducted to promote the country. He said that Hyderabad was chosen for the meeting because of its reputation in hosting national and international events in a befitting manner.
