Bag with police pistol missing
Hyderabad, March 23, 2006
A nine mm service pistol of Gurazala Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vijay Singh of Guntur district was stolen at Saroornagar on Thursday night. He along with his driver and gunman was coming to the city in a jeep. The SDPO gave a bag containing the weapon and 30 live rounds to his gunman. At Chaitnyapuri, the jeep driver hit a car and zoomed past. However, the car driver caught up with them near Rajiv Chowk. They went to the Saroornagar police station leave the bag behind and when they came back, the bag was missing.
