Land for Padmavati Medical College

60 acres of land allocated

Hyderabad, March 19, 2006

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy has agreed to give away 60.66 acres of land near Renigunta free of cost for construction of Sri Padmavati Medical College and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) general hospital. The Government earlier allotted 150 acres of land for medical college and general hospital.

The Chief Minister who is also chairman of the executive board of SVIMS took a decision to this effect following a request by the high power government council of SVIMS at a meeting held on Sunday.
