Hyderabad, March 18, 2006

At a press conference on Saturday, the Minister for School Education N.Rajyalakshmi said that the timings of the SSC examination in the State have been changed. They will now be conducted from 9.30am to noon between March 20 and April 4. She said control rooms at both the State and at district level were being set up and anyone could contact telephone numbers 040-2323733 or 040-23237344 for details.

Referring to the APSRTC offer of free transport, she clarified that only whose who had a student route pass would be allowed free travel on production of both the pass and hall ticket. The Minister released the Language Pundits Common Entrance Test (LPCET) and said out of 48,305 candidates appeared only 36,617 have been qualified for the interview.
