Demands appointment of cardiac surgeon
Warangal, March 17, 2006
The heart patients in the MGM Hospital staged a rasta roko on Friday over the delay in appointment of a Cardiac surgeon. More than one hundred patients and their relatives protested for an hour in front of the hospital. The State Government has failed to appoint a new surgeon in place of retired CT surgeon since January 28 who was retired. There were more than 300 patients with different heart ailments in the hospital.
Hospital resident medical officer persuaded the agitating patients to call off their strike and return to their wards. He assured that the State Government would soon appoint a new surgeon and the heart operations would resume.
