The State Cabinet allotted five acres site near Andhra Pradesh Sport School to triple Olympia and hokey international star Nandnuri Mukesh Kumar to set up a full fledged sports academy with emphasis on hockey. Mukesh thanked the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy for his gesture. He promised that the best training will be imparted to the trainees who will be 22 to start with in the age group of 14 to 19 years.
Sports is one area that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is promoting during the past few years. Hockey is India\'s national sport
