Aims at supplying virus free plant material
Hyderabad, March 13, 2006
A Virus Indexing and Soil Testing laboratory aimed at supplying virus free plant material was inaugurated at the Biotechnology Centre on Monday. The Commissioner for Horticulture Anil Punetha said the main aim of the virus-indexing laboratory was to check the transmission of virus through tissue cultured plants by detecting and destroying the virus.
The soil testing laboratory meanwhile would analyze and chemical parameters and also for estimation of available micro nutrients which in turn will make fertilizer management economical and easy for farmers.
