Nalgonda, March 11, 2006A forty five year old woman of Venkatapuram in Chityal mandal was hospitalized after being severely beaten by villagers on Saturday on the suspicion that she practices sorcery. The villagers beat her with sticks and pelted stones on her.
The Sub Inspector rushed to the spot and rushed her to the hospital. He took 20 persons into custody for involvement in the incident. The Superintendent of Police called her at the hospital and interacted with her relatives.
